Gertrude Stein once wrote about Oakland, "There was no there there." Apparently she was taken out of context, but Oaklanders love to take the perceived jab to heart. I like it that when I'm riding my bicycle up Snake Road into the Oakland Hills there's a house waving a green and black flag that says "THERE" with a picture of the Tribune tower downtown. Even though Snake has an agonizing 9% grade that flag makes me smile, because someone with a nice artistic house in the hills felt insulted by an old unhinged lesbian.

But even so, I suspect that the city's group pathos has infected me, for most everything I do can now be interpreted as putting there here! From eating a bowl of cereal to taking out the garbage!

Here are a few coordinates,

"How to Play Pinball" (Ina Coolbrith's personal manifesto): My latest finished work! Html processes are 99% done.

Mexilog, Version 1.10: Caitlin and I went on a trip to Mexico. I'd been waiting to go for so long! I figured it might be fun to document the experience, and give a home to all of the pictures we took.

"Fooljoy Puppet is Dead": Coming, eventually. This is an odd story; I don't really know who would understand it, except me. It may require a little too much diverse knowledge from the reader, but another me might exist somewhere out there and find this and enjoy it.

"36 Under Par": This is a story I wrote about how much I like Oakland, the Virgin Mary and miniature golf. I'd like to html-ize it as well, and maybe I'll actually do it.
